At the tail-end of last year, I had the honour of being picked out by former BBC North Yorkshire Introducing presenter Jenny Eells to replace her as the show's host (she's now rocking in Sheffield). Now, I didn't get the role - that went to the mighty Jericho Keys, who's a bit of a legend - but I did get to keep what I recorded. It's by no means the BEST THING YOU'VE EVER HEARD, far from it in fact, but I did have a lot of fun doing it, and I am very grateful to Jenny for having the patience and time to support me on this.
I think that it's worth re-emphasising how cool the team behind BBC Introducing in North Yorkshire is, and I am proud to at least in some small way, still be involved in the broadcast doing the gig guides and Industry Spotlights.
What was so cool for me when looking back at this demo though, was having the opportunity to support and play some of my favourite bands and acts: Daniel Webster from The Birdman Rallies did the acoustic slot, and then we had some immense tunes from the likes of Officers and Boss Caine! Anyway, I hope you think it's worth a listen - maybe even a laugh!?
Enjoy by clicking below (SoundCloud link) for the stream. And thanks as always for reading!
