Hey guys,
It's been a while since I posted! I've been really busy doing stuff with Soundsphere magazine, handling a few really cool bands (and their press) over at Creative Condition (Sewer Rats, Warren Records and Bone Cult, for example), and doing the odd show/gig with Seep Away! Still living in Chester too!
Anyway, I went to the States (Chicago) recently with the furniture brand I've been working with over the last few years as often as possible, and it was an amazing experience, the culture and general vibrance was insane. It was amazing to meet so many wonderful people, and to have the opportunity to work in Muzo's Chicago HQ, which is a wonderful space. Big thanks to Darren Buttle, Nathan McGrory, Joe Prendergast, Beth McCarthy, Robin Pickford, Martin Atkins (Ministry, NIN and PIL drummer), JBTV Studios (where we actually filmed a pilot for Muzo TV), and all the other wonderful people I met over my time there.
ABOVE this rambling text, you can see some evidence that I was over there to do some work, in my official Muzo role as Media Relations Officer - check out the cool space!
So, there you have it, I was actually there, and I definitely did stuff. It was a tough and intense week of networking and building connections, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Most people probably would though, to be fair!
Soooo, back to music for a bit now! While in Chicago, oddly, I discovered a band from Bradford (through Nathan) called Glass Mountain, and their stuff just blew me away, so I hope it does the same to you! Check out their first single BELOW!
That is immediately followed (also below!) by a Belgian band called Kapitan Korsakov who I discovered very recently also, they're insanely good. I've also included a link to a live performance for my favourite track of theirs called, 'In The Shade Of The Sun'.
Hope you dig the tunes!
That's enough now, and probably for 2016, so take care, thanks for reading and as ever, see you on the other side!
Dx
